World's Hidden Mysteries: The Legend of the Guardian Rock

The Legend of the Guardian Rock: The Hidden Mysteries of the World

Over 25 million years ago, the area surrounding Heping Island was a vast ocean. The island’s landscape, shaped by long-term weathering, erosion, and the relentless impact of waves, formed unique geological features such as mushroom-shaped stones, tofu rocks, sea caves, and coastal platforms—nature's masterpieces, as if carved by the heavens themselves.

On this beautiful island, various animals gathered. However, due to the barren nature of the island, they had to compete for food to survive.

The animals on the island were divided into two groups: the Sea Clan and the Land Clan, each with its own unique guardianship abilities. The Sea Clan included creatures such as sea rabbits, mudskippers, seals, and crocodiles, while the Land Clan was made up of animals like wild boars, sphinxes, gorillas, and leopards.

The entire island was ruled by a Pharaoh, who commanded a magical black kite, allowing him to control everything and maintain peace on the island. However, the rivalry between the Sea Clan and the Land Clan never ceased, as the island hid an eternal gem filled with boundless energy. Legend had it that if the gem was held up at sunrise, one could gain immortality.

One day, a crocodile from the Sea Clan claimed to have discovered the eternal gem hidden in the tofu rock at Alabao Bay. This area was known for its uniquely shaped, interwoven blocks of stone, formed by wind erosion and the cutting power of rainwater. When the sunlight touched the rocks at dawn, it appeared as though each stone sparkled like a gem.

The mesmerizing sight led the Land Clan animals to believe the crocodile's story. They united to search for the gem. However, as they explored the tofu rocks, the Sea Clan lay in ambush, intending to wipe them out. The revelation of the gem’s location in Alabao Bay was merely a trap set by the crocodile, as there was no gem to be found.

As the battle between the two clans reached a devastating stalemate, the Pharaoh appeared with his black kite. Saddened by the violence, he promised to find the true location of the eternal gem and share its powers equally among all the animals—if only they would learn to live in peace.

Seeing the destruction caused by their reckless fighting, the animals realized their foolishness and repented. Moved by their change, the Pharaoh used the magic of his kite to summon the eternal gem from the depths of the sea. As the sun rose, its rays aligned with the gem, releasing a burst of divine light. The intense glow transformed all the animals and the Pharaoh into stone. The crocodile, filled with regret for deceiving everyone, cried bitterly as it too turned to stone.

From that day on, the animals gained immortality, guarding the peace and tranquility of Heping Island forever.
